The concept of Human Capital is an integral part of the corporate philosophy of the Canil Group: for us, enhancing and training Human Resources is the best investment. The company employs highly qualified personnel in all sectors, the result of a training proposal aimed at providing each individual with specific knowledge and skills on the basis of carefully designed programmes.

Canil Academy: Innovation and Road Safety

Continuous innovation is reflected in the “Canil Academy” project: a path addressed to internal and external travelling personnel aimed at attracting new talents and training drivers in every aspect of their work, based both on the company’s needs and on our customers’ requests. The project involves in-house instructors qualified according to BBS (Behaviour Based Safety) principles in the safe driving of vehicles for road transport and loading and unloading operations. All drivers hold ADR licences and are periodically involved in specific training courses for the types of chemical products transported; these include the course aimed at obtaining the ISOPA (European Diisocyanate & Polyol Producers Association) licence required for the transport of isocyanate products, run by qualified in-house trainers.

Expansion of Training Initiatives for 2024

In 2024, the Canil Group intensifies its commitment to corporate training with a rich and diverse programme. The annual Cyber Security training, started in 2023, continues to raise employee awareness of the importance of handling company data and preventing cyber threats. At the same time, monthly training continues on the IT innovation of company management, which is essential for optimising internal processes and ensuring faster service and responses to customers.
We have also planned to strengthen our team of internal auditors with the introduction of two new figures, who will contribute to the improvement of processes and quality and compliance controls.
On the occupational health and safety front, which has always been one of our priorities, the training proposals in the pipeline are dedicated in particular to workshop personnel, with courses on working at heights, confined spaces, use of breathing apparatus and specific safety, while specific courses on driving and rest times are planned for travelling personnel, oriented towards ensuring road safety and compliance with regulations.

Industry 4.0 and Sustainability

The company, which has always been attentive to the incentives promoted by the state, has paid close attention to the Industry 4.0 legislation, introducing the latest generation of capital goods that contribute, through the digitisation of data, to improving processes. At this stage, we considered it essential to develop a customised dashboard for processing, consulting and analysing data and to plan staff training courses on Industry 4.0 investments and the developed management system.
In addition, we developed a training programme on the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) subject for all staff, with a focus on management, to promote sustainable and responsible business management. Our ESG programme is designed to provide staff with the necessary skills to integrate these principles into their daily work. The aim is to create a corporate culture that values environmental sustainability, respect for people and transparent and effective governance. With this approach, we aim to remain competitive and responsible in the global marketplace.

Coaching and Language Skills

We firmly believe that working on the development of leadership, management and team spirit skills is an added value. For this reason, we intend to continue the personalised coaching process for our managers that we started last year, adapting it to their specific needs. This targeted approach improves and strengthens leadership, promoting a collaborative and efficient working environment.
At the same time, new language courses will become available to enhance the language skills of our employees, facilitating the ability to communicate effectively in several languages with customers and colleagues of different nationalities, to improve international relations and increase business competitiveness. This initiative will allow us to be more flexible and reactive in responding to market needs, strengthening our position and reputation.

Communication and Marketing

In order to strengthen our visibility and online presence, the company decided to invest in team training geared towards communication and marketing, digital content and photography. This will allow us to build a strong and recognisable brand, increasing the company’s attractiveness.

Conclusion

The 2024 training programme represents a strategic investment in the Canil Group’s Human Capital. With a variety of targeted courses, we will ensure professional growth at all levels, preparing ourselves to face future challenges and seize opportunities in the global market. We will continue to enhance our Human Resources, convinced that they are the key to the business success.
